In 2017, a young McKenzy Yei was scouted by Hela Wigmen. In 2016 McKenzy played for Eagles in his debut season as a teenager. McKenzy lead from the front wearing the number 8 jersey leading the Wigmen forward pack losing to Gurias at the major semi-finals. In 2018, McKenzy was picked by SP Hunters. As they say, rest is history.
