The Kroton Hela Wigmen Rugby League Club surprised Kumul and Capras second-row Nixon Putt by flying both his parents to Port Moresby from Mt Hagen to watch their son play against Hunters over the weekend. After hearing about Nickson’s mother, Agnes Ombri who has never watch her son play live, the club extended the act of kindness.

The surprise was to thank Nickson in a small way for his service in rugby league and being a role model to aspiring rugby league players.

In 2014, they won the Digicel Cup, beating the Agmark Gurias 34-8 in the grand final in Lae. They won their second premiership title in 2020.
